REMEMBERING DEPARTED FELLOWS

The Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, on Thursday 5th March, took time to honor their greatest asset and finest minds of the country they lost in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Prof. H.J.A.N. Mensa-Bonsu, the President of the Academy,  in her opening remarks at the memorial service explained that the “memorial event is not intended to remind the family of the deceased their pain, but to celebrate the memory of the ones that once walked among us. Even though they are not physically among us, their aroma lives with us”

During the memorial service Prof. E. Ardayfio-Schandorf, Former President, and Prof. S. K. Sefa-Dedeh Vice President of the Sciences read a touching tributes for the Departed Souls. Rev. Prof. J. Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu gave a brief biblical reflection and the closing prayer.

Songs of Commemoration was performed by Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Choir and Christ the King Church Choir.
